It's all over at the Salt Lake Stadium

It's all over at the Salt Lake Stadium as underdogs Bangladesh hold India for a 1-1 draw. A disappointing result for the Blue Tigers as the entire unit looks dejected. FT: IND 1-1 BAN

EQUALISER!

Brandon Fernandes' corner goes straight to Adil Khan at the six-yard box, and the defender smashes it home to level things up at the Salt Lake stadium. The crowd goes berserk as the Blue Tigers aim for a late winner deep in stoppage time. IND 1-1 BAN (89')

Clock is running against the hosts

The clock is running against the hosts as the match enters its final five minutes. As India are still trailing 1-0, can the hosts level things up before the referee blows the fulltime whistle. IND 0-1 BAN (85')

Attacking move by India!

Igor Stimac with an attacking move as the match enters its final phase. Lallianzuala Chhangte comes in for Anas Edathodika. IND 0-1 BAN (74')

Adil Khan produces a brilliant goalline clearance

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu is not having the best of the night as he charges front and gets his finger-tips as the Bangladeshi player tries to scoop it over India's no 1. The ball bounces and goes towards the goalpost but Adil Khan keeps the scoreline as it is with a brilliant goalline clearance. IND 0-1 BAN (71')

India substitution

Igor Stimac introduces fresh legs in the contest as Raynier Fernandes comes in for Anirudh Thapa. IND 0-1 BAN (68')

Great counter attack by India!

India with a great counter-attacking move as Chhetri receives the ball right at the centre of the pitch. He allows the Bangladesh players to crowd him, before playing a brilliant through ball towards Udanta on the right. The winger runs with the ball and plays a cross towards Manvir, but the striker overruns and the ball goes out for a throw. IND 0-1 BAN (65')

Goal line clearance from Bangladesh

Anirudh Thapa's incoming delivery from a corner goes straight to Anas, who leaps and heads it on the target. Lucky for Bangladesh as Biplu clears the ball right at the goal line for another corner. 30 mins to go for fulltime as India trail 1-0. IND 0-1 BAN (60')

Crossbar comes to India's rescue

Another brilliant effort by Bangladesh and Gurpreet fails to judge the ball for the second time in the match. However, this time the crossbar comes to Gurpreet's rescue as a cross by Ibrahim from the left hits the bar. IND 0-1 BAN (55')

Opportunity for Bangladesh!

Bangladesh with a golden opportunity to double their lead but Gurpreet Singh stands tall as he blocks the ball away for a corner. Ziban is the player with the effort and he knows how crucial this save can prove to be. IND 0-1 BAN (51')

India start on a positive note!

India are putting the pressure on Bangladesh as Manvir Singh tries to head an incoming cross towards the goal, however, his effort is intercepted by the Bangladeshi defence. The rebound goes straight to Udanta Singh at the edge of the box, who tries to slam it inside from close range, but once again the Bangladesh defence comes in the way. IND 0-1 BAN (50')

Second half underway!

The players are back in the pitch and India have another 45 minutes to redeem themselves. Can India bounce back and eventually win the contest, tough call but lets just hope for the best as the second half gets underway.  IND 0-1 BAN

Half Time!

Saad Udin's goal stands as the difference between both the sides as India go into the interval 1-0 down

Saad Uddin stuns crowd at Salt Lake!

Bangladesh awarded a free kick on the left side of the pitch. The setpiece is taken and the ball is lofted deep into the box towards the far post. Gurpreet charges for the ball and mistimes his jumps, he lands on the ground without making contact with the ball as it goes straight to Saad Uddin, who heads the ball straight inside the empty goalpost. Pin-drop silence at a full-packed Salt Lake stadium. IND 0-1 BAN (41')

That was close!

Rahul Bheke with a long throw towards Manvir Singh, who's standing right at the edge of the six-yard box. He receives the ball and heads it towards the Bangladesh goalpost as his effort almost puts India ahead in the contest. Ashraful, the Bangladeshi goalkeeper pushes the ball away for a corner with a fine finger-tip save. IND 0-0 BAN (34')

Mistake by Adil Khan, Gurpreet saves!

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu makes a brilliant save as Adil Khan makes a horrendous mistake allowing opposition player Biplu Ahmed to charge freely inside the box. However, the Indian defenders recover and put pressure on the Bangladeshi player as his powerful effort from the edge of the box is comfortably dealt by Gurpreet. IND 0-0 BAN (32')

India execute another creative setpiece routine

Freekick awarded to India from an interesting position and Sahal Abdul Samad rolls it inside the box. Udanta gets on the ball first and rolls it to Chhetri, however, the captain fails to time his run as the ball rolls over for a goal kick.  Chhetri is complaining to the official, it seems like he is saying that his shirt was pulled. Anyways, the fans at the stadium are yet to witness a goal. IND 0-0 BAN (26')

Lucky Bheke!

We are inching towards the half-an-hour mark and the scoreline still remains 0-0. However, the story would have been different had the referee awarded Bangladesh with an early penalty. Rahul Bheke should consider that his dangerous challenge went unnoticed. IND 0-0 BAN (24')

India with another opportunity!

Another corner for India as this time it's Anirudh Thapa who steps up to take the set-piece. He plays the ball right in the middle of the box as Rahul Bheke once again wins the lofted delivery. However, this time his headed effort flies well above the crossbar. IND 0-0 BAN (15')

Anirudh Thapa and Ashique Kuruniyan combine well

Great combination between Anirudh Thapa and Ashique Kuruniyan as the former plays the ball on the left flank which is brilliantly controlled by Kuruniyan. However, Bangladesh defenders are up for the task as they clear the ball out for a corner.

Sunil Chhetri takes the set-piece and rolls it to Manvir Singh standing in the flank, who then crosses it inside the box. Rahul Bheke heads the incoming delivery straight to a Bangladesh defender, who clears the ball away from danger. IND 0-0 BAN (10')

India start on a nervy note

After starting on a nervy note by almost conceding a penalty at right at the starting moment of the match, it seems that India have started to gain control in the match.  IND 0-0 BAN (8')
