Madurai flower shops fined Rs 50,000 for using banned plastic products

MADURAI: Madurai Corporation officials on Tuesday slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 each on two shops at flower market for using banned plastic bags.
The officials conducted a surprise check at the flower market and seized 66 kilogram of banned plastic bags from the two shops.
They warned that the shops would be if they continued to use the plastic bags.
