Noida, 24th September, 2019: Symbiosis International (Deemed University)’s new state-of-art Noida campus was today inaugurated by Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India at Sector 62, Noida. Parampujya Yogarṣi Swami Ramdev ji Maharaj was the Guest of Honour. Dr. S B Mujumdar, President and Founder, Symbiosis and Chancellor, SIU presided over the function. Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and Dr. Rajani Gupte, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) were the other distinguished dignitaries present for the function.
Headquartered in Pune, Symbiosis started its Off Campus Centre at Noida with two schools viz- Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies (SCMS) and Symbiosis Law School (SLS) in 2010. Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA and Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, NOIDA have moved to this newly built infrastructure. Located at Noida, this modern spectacular campus boasts of international faculties and world class facilities for education, promising the students a world class environment to embark on their careers.
During the inauguration, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said, “ Indian education system can aspire to greatness only if it is rooted in Indian ethos and culture. Education is the foundation of any progressive nation and teachers are the powerhouse of the society who mould and shape the future of students to become productive citizens of tomorrow and inculcate positive thinking and cultural ethos in them so that they can be an asset to the society, having both vision and a mission. Symbiosis University has achieved it by meeting the changing dynamics with regard to imparting quality education, innovation and research.” Speaking at the function, Baba Ramdev said, “The focus should be on changing the education system and giving it a different treatment. Symbiosis with the inauguration of its third biggest campus aspires to prepare graduates with the power to give social, spiritual, economical, scientific and political leadership. I also feel to combat the stress it is important for the students to stay fit, following a strict and a discliplined life.”
On the occasion of the launch of Noida campus, Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Founder and Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) said, “Symbiosis is a term derived out of Botany, which means two different community that co-exists. There is need for everyone to be in-sync to co-exist and grow. Symbiosis also means promoting international understanding through quality education and education is the only medium to promote understanding of International culture. ”
Pro-chancellor Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar said, “Institute aspires to redefine management education with its eminent faculty and strong alumni support with a strong thrust on building capability and creating value for its students. We have already started admissions for various management programmes with a vision to impart education that empowers every students in fulfilling their aspirations.”
