Several organisations in Tumakuru have objected to the transfer of T. Bhoobalan, who was the commissioner of Tumakuru City Corporation, as the Special Deputy Commissioner (LAQ), Malaprabha-Ghataprabha projects, Belagavi.
A. Narasimhamurthy, district president, Kolegeri Nivasigala Hitharakshana Samiti, said that Mr. Bhoobalan who was also MD and CEO of Tumakuru Smart City Ltd. was transferred within three days of being chosen for the ‘Best MD and CEO’ award among the 100 smart cities in the nation.
Rohini Sindhuri transferred
Meanwhile, Rohini Sindhuri was transferred out of her post as Secretary, Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Bengaluru, barely seven months after she took over. K.G. Shantaram, Commissioner for Labour, Bengaluru, has been placed in concurrent charge of the board. Ms. Sindhuri has not been given a posting.
