The Supreme Court of India asked the Centre to frame a specific set of guidelines for social media, in a plea seeking to link the Aadhaar with social media accounts. The Supreme Court has sought a report from the central government within the next 21 days on the same. This is SC's bid to crack down on the misuse of social media. "We can't get away by saying that we don't have a technology to track originators of online crime, if there is a technology to do it, then there is a technology to stop it," the Supreme Court said.
