Paromita Goswami gets AAP ticket from Brahmapuri

NAGPUR: The Aam Admi Party (AAP) has given the Brahmapuri ticket to social worker Paromita Goswami, who was at the forefront of getting liquor banned in Chandrapur district. This is the constituency of Congressman Vijay Wadettiwar, the leader of the opposition in the legislative assembly.
Goswami was approached by Vidarbha Nirman Mahamanch for contesting from Brahmapuri. She had initially agreed but later, decided to contest on an AAP ticket.

Goswami, a postgraduate in law, has been working for the betterment of workers of the unorganized sector in rural areas since 20 years. She had exposed the sexual exploitation of minors in a residential school in Chandrapur district.
Anti-Corruption activist Anjali Damania will campaign for Goswami.
