The lineup is losing the 500 and 500e, leaving it with three choices for the 2020 model year. Lower gasoline prices removed a major selling point for the brand's small cars, leaving them with an uphill climb in a market dominated by light trucks.
124 Spider: The slow-selling two seater, built by Mazda on the same line that produces the Japanese automaker's MX-5, gets a modest cosmetic update for 2020 with a Scorpion Sting side stripe and hood decal package available on Abarth models. Its future is unclear beyond 2020.
500/500e: FCA is discontinuing production of the current-generation Fiat 500 and 500e minicars in North America. The models never gained traction, and late CEO Sergio Marchionne once famously asked customers not to buy the 500e electric version because the company was losing money on it.
