Meet & greet services at Jaipur airport to begin soon

JAIPUR: Jaipur International Airport will soon start the meet and greet services, which will include porters, getting the boarding passes without standing in queue, interpreters and others. Since commercial services of the airport were stopped from December last year by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), tenders are being floated for a private company to provide these services which will be charged.

J S Balhara, director, Jaipur International Airport, told TOI, “According to BCAS’s order, commercial services like porters etc. were discontinued. In place of this, all the airports will start the meet and greet service which essentially means that contract will be given to a private company to give services including those of porters. Services will also be for those who want to get their boarding passes from the counters amongst other things.”
Officials claim that this service will be started as soon as the company is finalised and the fees for the services will be different for all airports depending on the firm which is chosen.
