AAI showcases GAGAN, Pune airport in Oz

Pune: The sole provider of air navigation services and responsible for the management of airports across the country Airport Authority of India (AAI) is participating in the 25th World Route Development Forum – World Routes 2019 at Adelaide in Australia. 

The India Pavilion jointly representing AAI and Mumbai International Airport at this global event was formally inaugurated by Ministry of Civil Aviation Joint Secretary Usha Padhee, in presence of Member (Operations) IN Murthy, Airport Director of NSCBI Airport Kaushik Bhattacharjee, Airport Director at Pune Ajay Kumar Bhardwaj, GM (CC) JB Singh and DGM (Operations) Ajay Kumar Verma.

AAI’s stall at World Routes 2019 will showcase its technologies and initiatives like GPS-aided Geo-Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) & Skyrev360 and exhibit the milestones achieved by AAI in the Indian civil aviation sector. 

AAI will also market the vast potential of AAI’s international airports like Chennai International Airport, NSCBI Airport at Kolkata, Pune International Airport on this global platform for future destinations. 

During the event, AAI delegation will meet with airlines and other global authorities and present business cases that will influence establishment of new air services and grow existing routes to India.

World Routes is the global meeting place for every airline, airport and aviation stakeholders.  The event organised from September 21 to 24 presents an unrivalled platform for route development professionals to discuss, develop and plan network strategy on a global scale. Over three concentrated business days, 3,000 delegates representing airlines, airports and tourism authorities will take part in 13,000 face-to-face meetings to discuss new and existing air services. 

The event is focused around the development of the world’s air services and it provides a unique opportunity for a destination to showcase its airport, city and country to the air service decision-makers of the world.
