Nanotech startup Log 9 Spill Containment raises Rs 4 crore from angel investors

The funding will be utilized by the company to set up a new production facility in Navi Mumbai for the manufacturing of its existing product portfolio.
Nanotech startup Log 9 Spill Containment raises Rs 4 crore from angel investors Nanotechnology startup Log 9 Spill Containment has raised Rs 4 crore in a Pre Series-A funding from angel investors including Renjit Shinto and Omkar Ghaisas.

The funding will be utilized by the company to set up a new production facility in Navi Mumbai for the manufacturing of its existing product portfolio. The rest will go towards development of new products in industrial spill and other domains.

Dhananjay Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Log 9 Spill Containment, said, “At Log 9 Spill, we are using Graphene as the base material to bridge the gap between laboratory-developed technologies and market-ready products, and thus creating, manufacturing, and commercializing novel solutions for the clean-tech sector.”

Log 9 Spill manufactures and offers products to control spills of all forms; these products can be used to prevent, control, and clean spills in and around marine or terrestrial ecosystems.

The company has been leveraging on scientifically-driven research in the domain of Graphene nanotechnology to disrupt the oil spill market by putting Graphene tech to work, and thereby mitigating the challenges that oil spills and chemical spills may pose to the environment.
