He is likely to speak on abrogation of Article 370 and its “benefits” for the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, as well as for rest of the country.
BJP’s Pune city chief Madhuri Misal, city MP Girish Bapat and party’s Pimpri-Chinchwad chief Laxman Jagtap addressed the media on Sunday about Nadda’s visit and various events that he will attend on Monday.
Nadda will start his tour by paying a visit to Dagadusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandal, following which he will have lunch with office bearers of the BJP at Rami Grand. He will then address a meeting of party workers at Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch.
“The last event of the day will be at 7.30 pm at hotel Sheraton Grand, where Nadda will address 350-400 eminent personalities from the city. He will speak on the abrogation of Article 370 to clear any misconceptions that people may have about the decision. Among those invited for the event include eminent industrialists, businessmen, traders, lawyers, doctors and cultural icons,” said Misal.
Last month, the BJP had announced that it would organise a nationwide campaign on the Union government’s decision to abrogate the special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution, and will reach out to over 2,000 prominent personalities from the fields of film, sport and academia. The campaign has been termed as ‘National Integration Campaign’, under which senior leaders of the party, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, J P Nadda and others, are visiting various states and speaking on “benefits” of scrapping of Article 370.
On Sunday, Nadda held a similar event in Bengaluru.
