Farmer arrested for ganja cultivation

Accused with the contraband in SOG custody on Sunday
Rajkot: A farmer in village near Bhavnagar for arrested for cultivating ganja in his vegetable field.
Acting on specific information, the special operations group (SOG) of Bhavnagar police raided his field of Arvind Chauhan in Solvadra village on Sunday and found 33 fully grown plants of ganja sown right between the vegetables plants.
The total value of seized 8.352 kg ganja is estimated to be around Rs 41,760.

Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) officer was also called at the spot and he confirmed that the cultivation was that of ganja.
Chauhan was booked in Vartej police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
