RAJKOT: Junagadh sessions court sentenced a murder convict to life imprisonment for brutally killing a man over suspicion that he had an affair with his wife.
Convict Jaydeepgiri Meghnathi had stabbed Mahadevgiri Gauswami 18 times on May 1 last year in Junagadh. Meghnathi suspected that Gauswami had an affair with his wife.
Principal district judge N B Pithva sentenced Meghnathi after upholding all the evidence submitted by the prosecution.
In all, 22 witnesses were examined.
