Workshop on climate change held in Hubballi

HUBBALLI: Over a thousand students from Haveri, Gadag, Vijayapura, Dharwad, Shivamogga and other district took part in a workshop on climate change organised by Deshpande Education Trust here on Friday.
Subject experts shared information on climate change with the students. “The climate crisis is a worldwide problem that is changing life on earth. We have responsibilities to protect this earth from this problem,” said an expert.
The students were informed about the FridaysForFuture movement and how youth can fight climate change. Later students took out an awareness rally on climatic changes from BVB College to Rani Chennama Circle. Awareness programmes were also held in 11 schools in the city.
Deshpande Education Trust CEO Narasimha Nayak said, “We are creating awareness on climate change through various means. Ultimately it is our responsibility to save the earth from this crisis.”
