Udupi to host conference on the Constitution

The district unit of the Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti (DSS) would be organising a conference on the Constitution of the country titled “Sarvajanara Samvidhana Samavesha” here on September 28.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Sundar Master, chief convener of the district unit of the samiti, said that there were a lot of misconceptions among people about reservation and other aspects of the Constitution.

The conference would aim at removing these misconceptions, Mr. Sundar Master added.

Nijaguna Prabhu Tontadarya Swami of Tontadarya Mutt, Mundargi, would deliver the keynote address at the conference.

Mavalli Shankar, State chief convener of the samiti, would inaugurate the conference, he said.

Parameshwar Uppoor, Manjunath Balakudru, Lokesh Padubidri, Shivananda Moodabettu and Annappa, office-bearers of the samiti, were present.
