The 6th edition of “Chaliyar River Paddle”, organised by Jellyfish Water Sports, will begin at Nilambur in Malappuram district on September 20. The three-day event, supported by Kerala Tourism, targets water sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, tourists, children and people from all walks of life.

“Chaliyar River Paddle focuses on saving our rivers from urban pollution and promote recreational kayaking for everyone,” said Kaushiq Kodithodika, founder of Jellyfish Water Sports. With the State facing repeated floods and the public barely aware of the minimum safety precautions when it comes to water, the event aims to spread awareness about clean waters.

The event will conclude at Beypore in Kozhikode district, where the river meets with the Arabian Sea. People of all age groups are expected to participate in the event.
