He wishes PM to lead nation for many more years

Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan on Tuesday conveyed his birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a letter addressed to Mr. Modi, Mr. Harichandan wished that may Lord Jagannath and Lord Balaji shower their blessings on the Prime Minister and give him good health to lead the nation for many more years.

Later, participating in the Viswakarma Puja organised by Jai Jagannath Association in the city, Mr. Harichandan said people of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, his native land, shared same cultural ethos. He said like Lord Jagannath, the Lord of the universe and Puri dham, which was one of the most revered dhams of the country, Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala was also worshipped by devotees all over the country. He said a large number of people from Odisha live in the cities of Andhra Pradesh and same was the case of Telugu people living in Odisha. He called for cultural exchange between the two States.

Former MP Gokaraju Gangaraju, secretary to Governor Mukesh Kumar Meena, joint secretary to Governor Arjuna Rao among others participated in the programme.
