With an aim to provide the job opportunities to the deserving youths, the district administration is all set to hold six Mega Job Fairs under the “Ghar Ghar Rozgar” mission of the Punjab Government at Industrial Training Institution (ITI) Moga on September 19, 23, 24, 26, 27 and 30. Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans, while addressing the press conference here on Tuesday, said that these job fairs are being organised with an aim to ensure that maximum youth get employment and the district administration has fixed target of providing over 6000 jobs to the district youth.
He said that at least 40 renowned companies from Moga district and different cities of the state would come here to recruit the deserving candidates for different job profiles. He said that besides providing jobs, the district administration has also fixed the target to provide self-employment to 3500 persons by providing them loans.
“I urge all the unemployed but qualified and deserving person must attend this Mega job fair for gaining the experience,” Hans said. He also informed the media persons that for these job fairs, nodal officers would be appointed by District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, and all basic facilities such as medical assistance, toilets, potable drinking water and parking would be provided. The Deputy Commissioner said that special counters would be set up at the job fair sites that any youth coming at the fair shall not face any hassle.
Meanwhile, any youth whether one is sans any qualification, fifth or eighth pass, 10th or 12th pass, graduate, postgraduate or ITI Diploma holder can apply for a job at this Mega Job Fair. On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC Development) Rajinder Batra, Assistant Commissioner General Lal Vishwas Bains, District Employment Officer Parminder Kaur and Placement officer Sonia Bajwa among other officials were present at the meeting.
