CAT 2019 registration deadline extended; apply @ iimcat.ac.in
Representational Image KOZHIKODE: The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have extended the deadline for registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT- 2019) by a week to September 25.
The online registration for CAT 2019 had started on August 7 and was to close on September 18. Registration for CAT 2019 will now close at 5 pm on September 25 (Wednesday).
Prof. Shubhasis Dey, Convenor of CAT 2019 which is being conducted by IIM- Kozhikode, said in a release that the decision to extend the deadline was taken considering the disruptions caused by natural calamities during the registration period and the continuing difficulty of candidates to procure the necessary documentation for timely registration.
He said that CAT 2019 will be conducted on November 24 (Sunday) in two sessions spread across 156 cities.
Candidates will be permitted to download their examination admit card from October 23 onwards, until the date of the test.

Eligibility
A candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste(SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person With Disability (PwD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Candidate possessing an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India (including the Associate Membership Examination (AMICE) of the Institution of Civil Engineers (India) as an equivalent qualification).
The CAT application data is treated as final, and no change in it is permitted at a later stage. Any variation in the data provided at the CAT selection stage with the actual data will lead to nullification of candidature.
Candidates must declare and maintain the following throughout the selection process:
* Valid and unique Email ID and a mobile phone number
* CAT User ID (provided to you via email after completion of your online registration).
