Acewin Agriteck Ltd., a Chennai-based software and digital solutions provider, has drawn up plans to enter into prawn hatchery and dairy farming, for which it is planning to raise ₹300 crore, according a top official. “We are planning to set up two integrated projects covering aquaculture, agriculture, poultry and dairy farming at about ₹300 crore by early 2020,” said Jesudas Premkumar, managing director, Acewin Agriteck.

According to him, the firm has identified the land for this project at Ponneri, near here. The funds would be raised through equity or debt or a mixture of both. The equity would be raised by way of rights or preferential issue and the debt through some major financial institutions.

It would be a pilot project initially and depending upon its success, the company would add two or three integrated projects every year. Such integrated projects would be on fresh water fish, prawn farming and processing, fruits and vegetables, poultry and goat and dairy farming, he said.

Last year, the firm recorded a revenue of ₹19.90 crore against ₹9.93 crore in the year-ago period.
