Zinc futures decline on weak global cues

Zinc prices traded lower by 0.48 per cent to Rs 185.40 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday due to offloading of positions by speculators amid subdued global trend.

Zinc contracts for September delivery fell by 90 paise, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 185.40 per kg in a business turnover of 1,602 lots on the Multi Commodity Exchange.

Similarly, the metal contracts for October delivery fell by 80 paise, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 188.10 per kg in 153 lots.

On the London Metal Exchange, zinc fell as much as 0.84 per cent to USD 2,365 per tonne.
