To be constructed at Raidurg at a cost of ₹276.22 crore

Buoyed by the success of T-Hub, the State government has decided to create T-Hub Phase-II, disclosed IT and Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao in the Assembly here on Monday.

Replying to TRS members K.P. Vivekanand and Balka Suman during the Question Hour, Mr. Rama Rao said the T-Hub achieved a significant landmark as it emerged as the most successful incubator in the country.

The Phase-II would be constructed to provide 3.5 lakh sq. ft of space for 4,000 people in an extent of three acres at Raidurg at a total cost of ₹276.22 crore. It would be operational by March, 2020 and would incubate more than 1,000 start-ups at any given time. It would emerge as the largest incubator in the world, he said. “The T-Hub has IIIT, IIT-Hyderabad, ISB, NALSAR and others as its partners. The government is committed to generating as many self-employment opportunities as possible,” he said. The Minister said over 500 start-ups were incubating at T-Hub and it had given employment to over 2,000 people. The success rate in start-ups was low anywhere, but youth should not get disheartened with the initial failures as the experience would help them attain success in future. He also mentioned that the government has been giving entrepreneurial residential certificates who work at the T-Hub. Explaining the measures taken to expand T-Hub to tier-2 cities, the Minister said an IT hub was being set up in Warangal at a cost of ₹33 crore. Steps were also being taken to involve rural youth in start-ups under ‘Innovation at Every Household’ and ‘T-Works’ schemes.
