An injured NRL player has responded to league great Cameron Smith's accusation that he milked a 'scratch on his knee' to stop a game by posting a picture of his gruesome injury on social media.
Canberra Raiders second rower Elliot Whitehead suffered a cut to his knee on Saturday and play was stopped so a trainer could tend to the injury.
Melbourne Storm skipper Cameron Smith was heard on referee Ashley Klein's microphone complaining about the stoppage.
