Moving House? The C7 Corvette Can Double As A Couch Transporter

Some people like to say that ‘you can live in a car but you can’t drive a house’. We presume the owner of this colorful C7 Corvette Stingray doesn’t live in his car, though he has no problem using it to transport house furniture – like, say, a couch.

This image was shared online at Reddit and quickly gained traction line. A little bit of digging online reveals that the car is owned by a guy on Instagram with the username dropout_c7, who uses his Corvette for a number of weird and wacky things. Sticking a couch on the roof is probably the most bizarre thing we have found in his social media channels.

Images and videos of the ‘Vette show that the removable hardtop had actually been taken off before the couch was put on. It also appears as though there are no straps actually holding the couch on – it’s simply balancing itself there. Not sure this is the safest way, but then again, a ‘Vette is not the car to go for when transporting furniture either, is it?

Now, about that “living in a car” thing: as front-engined sports cars go, the C7-gen Corvette is surprisingly spacious, with a generous trunk and adequate in-cabin storage. It certainly wouldn’t be impossible to live out of one. It wouldn’t be that practical, though, and using it to get a piece of furniture from one place to another seems much more reasonable in comparison, even if most of us would shy away from pulling off such a stunt.
