Gang of vehicle lifters busted

Ludhiana: The CIA- 1 of Ludhiana police commissionrate has busted a gang of snatchers and recovered 8 mobile phones and a one stolen two-wheeler from their possession on Sunday. According to police the accused confessed to have executed 12 snatching and several vehicle lifting cases registered in city.
The arrested accused have been identified as Swarnjit Singh, 35, Kulwinder Singh, 22 and Chhinda Singh, 35, all residents of Moga.
In-charge CIA-1, sub-inspector Avtar Singh said that the police have arrested the accused from BRS Nagar following a tip-off. The accused have confessed that they used to come to Ludhiana for executing crime. They were roaming around on a motorcycle.
The accused were stopped at a check post established near BRS Nagar. On frisking,the police found eight mobiles from their possession. SI told that the accused are drug addicts and execute crime to cater to their expenses of drugs.
