Mangaluru: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel detained a man for entering the terminal using a fake e-ticket at Mangaluru International Airport.
CISF said Arif Kothikka, a resident of Kasaragod, was detained at 11.45pm on Saturday at the departure gate, while he was exiting. He had entered the terminal to see off four family members who were flying to Dubai. He entered by showing a fabricated e-ticket of SpiceJet flight SG59 to Dubai, which was scheduled to depart at 12.54am on Sunday.
Kothikka was handed over to local police and a case was registered at Bajpe police station. Police say the accused had a valid ticket, but it was cancelled at the last moment.
