The Gram Seva Sangh, which works among the marginalised sectors of economy, on Sunday announced a satyagraha from October 2, seeking legitimate rights of those involved in what it termed as “sacred economies”.
The resolution was passed at a meeting here on Sunday. The sangh describes sacred economies as those systems of production that give maximum number of jobs with minimum investment and minimum loss to environment. It says the sataygraha is on behalf of handmade sectors and sectors such as garment making, anganwadi workers, municipal workers, small traders and vendors, small manufacturers and service sectors.
