MADURAI: Two men, who questioned a man for riding his two-wheeler in a rash and negligent manner in a residential locality in Tamil Nadu’s
Tuticorin town, was hacked to death by him and a few others on Sunday.
The murdered have been identified as Murugesan, 38, of Sivanthakulam and his friend Vivek, 38.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that Murugesan and Vivek were riding on a two-wheeler on Sunday morning when Mani of Thalamuthu Nagar rode his two-wheeler in a rash and negligent manner. A wordy quarrel erupted between the duo and the accused. Later, Mani left the place.
Around 5.30pm, Mani returned to locality with a few others. They attacked Murugesan and Vivek with machetes and escaped from the spot.
Murugesan sustained injuries on his neck and chest and died on the spot. Vivek, who sustained injuries on his neck, was rushed to Thoothukudi Government Medical College and Hospital where he died.
The Tuticorin north police registered a case.
