BHIWANDI: Four people were arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman. While one accused is the woman's brother-in-law, two others are minors, the police said.
The woman had gone with her brother-in-law to
Bhiwandi railway station for work when he led her to a desolate spot and raped her.
The others who were passing by beat the brother-in-law and took turns to
rape her. Based on the woman's complaint, Thane police chief Vivek Phansalkar who supervised the case formed teams to nab the accused. While her brother-in-law was arrested first, the police nabbed the others on the basis of CCTV footage at the station.
