Noida: Two Amity University students die in Yamuna Expressway crash
The car hit a bus on the opposite lane
GREATER NOIDA: Two students of Amity University were killed and three others injured when the car they were travelling in rolled over to the other lane on the Yamuna Expressway after hitting a divider near zero point on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Shivani Yadav and Owais Chaudhary, both residents of Ghaziabad. They were taken to Yatharth hospital where they were declared brought dead.
Three other students who were also in the car were injured and have been admitted to the ICU. They have been identified as Aditi Saxena, from Sector 53 in Noida, Sai Sharma from Ghaziabad and Shaurya Gupta, from Shakarpur in Delhi.

Police said the students were travelling from Agra to Noida. Their Hyundai i20 lost balance around 3 km from zero point, crashed into the divider, rolled over the median and then hit a moving roadways bus, police added.
“A passerby dialled 100 after which a police team reached the spot and rushed the five students to a nearby hospital,” said Sujeet Upadhyay, SHO, Beta 2 police station. Police said some alcohol bottles had been found in the car.
