Belagavi: Man falls from atop loudspeaker, dies

BELAGAVI: A man fell from atop a loudspeaker during the procession of Ganesh idols at Kirloskar Galli near Dharmaveer Sambhaji Chowk here on Friday and died.
Sources said Rahul Sadavar, 38, a resident of Kamath Galli was standing atop a loudspeaker and fell after losing balance. Although he was rushed to BIMS district government hospital, he did not survive. He is survived by a wife and two children.
It’s the third death during a Ganesh idol procession in the district this year. Two youths drowned in Khanapur taluk on Thursday while immersing an idol in a tank.
