NEW DELHI: Refuting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's announcement to implement odd-even scheme in Delhi again, Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said the vehicle rationing scheme is not needed in the capital.
"I don't think it (odd-even) is needed. The Ring Road (in Delhi) that we have built has significantly reduced pollution in the city and our planned schemes will free Delhi of pollution in the next two years," Gadkari told media.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Friday that the odd-even scheme would be implemented in the national capital from November 4 to 15.
The chief minister announced his seven-point action plan to tackle pollution due to crop burning, which includes distribution of masks, mechanised sweeping of roads, tree plantation, and special plans for 12 pollution hot spots in the city.
