GURUGRAM: A 19-year-old domestic help died after she allegedly fell from the 16th-floor balcony of a flat in an upscale residential society in Sector 67 on Golf Course Road Extension on Tuesday night. No suicide note was found.
A resident of Bareilly in UP, the woman, Bidan, had been employed by a pilot working with a private airline three weeks ago and stayed in the flat itself. Around 10.30pm on Tuesday, the couple had retired to their room when the woman allegedly went to the kitchen and jumped from the balcony outside it.

Bidan was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead. “The family came to know about the death only when the security guard informed them,” said a police officer. Police said the woman has a brother and sister, who work at different places in Gurugram. “Prima facie, it looks like a suicide, but the reason is not known. No one has filed any complaint,” said a sub-inspector from Sector 65 police station, adding that the body was handed over to the woman’s family after an autopsy. Police have recorded the statement of Bidan’s family members, guards of the housing society and the flat owner, but no case has been registered.
The woman had last spoken to her brother over the phone. His brother told police he did not find anything unusual when he spoke to his sister.
