3rd Rajdhani to run 4 days a week

Mumbai: Ahead of the code of conduct for assembly elections, Central Railway has decided to increase the frequency of the “third” Rajdhani, which runs between CSMT and Hazrat Nizamuddin, by operating this train four days of a week instead of two currently.

The third Rajdhani departs from Mumbai every Wednesday and Saturday. It will now run on Monday and Friday too. From Hazrat Nizamuddin, the train will also depart on Tuesday and Saturday, besides Thursday and Sunday.
CR’s chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said, “Railway minister Piyush Goyal will flag off the increase in frequency of the third Rajdhani Express on September 13.” On Friday, September 13, the Rajdhani Inaugural Special will leave CSMT at 10.40am and arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 4.35am the next day. Goyal will inaugurate a building for railway claims tribunal too.
