Facelift Brings 2020 Audi Q7 In Line With The Rest Of The Range

While it may not seem like a huge deal among the e-trons and RS Q8s of the world, the facelifted Q7 is a very important model in its segment, which means it couldn’t have missed this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

Back when we first saw spy images of it undergoing tests in prototype form, we suspected that the front grille would get revamped, but we didn’t actually think that Audi would design a new dashboard as well. Thankfully, they surprised us and gave the Q7 an ultra-modern interior that should help it keep up with rivals that are, technically, a lot newer.

Externally, the new Q7 sports a more dynamic-looking grille with vertical lines, instead of horizontal ones, and new headlights, while the rear features a new set of taillights and a chrome strip uniting the two clusters.

There’s new tech under the skin as well, with electromechanical active roll stabilization available as an option. The facelifted Q7 can also be had with adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering, which works by turning the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the front at low speeds, and in the same direction at higher ones.

Inside, you’ll find the automaker’s latest MMI infotainment system embedded into a pair of large touchscreen displays. The SUV also boasts Audi’s Virtual Cockpit gauge cluster and a Head-up Display, for which, though, you’ll have to pay a little extra.

As for the engine range, there a 3.0-liter V6 diesel with either 228 or 282 HP, a 335 HP TFSI petrol six and a plug-in hybrid. All powertrains are mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox and all-wheel drive.
