J&K Block Development Civic Polls are expected to be announced in another day or two by the Home Ministry. The Civic Body polls are expected to be held next month. The polls will be extremely important as this is the first step towards ensuring that a proper democratic process returns to the valley ever since Governor’s rule was imposed. The polls are critical financially as well as crores of rupees have been allocated for the Panchayats this year.
