This is the moment a prison guard lashed out at a teenager and repeatedly punched him in a brutal assault.
CCTV footage from the Frank Baxter Juvenile Justice Centre in Kariong, New South Wales, showed a 17-year-old boy sitting down outside with his head in his hands.
The teenager was upset that his room had been searched by guards and refused to go inside.
He was being consoled by a junior guard when officer Peter Buckworth, 55, walked past as he arrived for his shift at 9.30pm on November 10 last year.

Buckworth, from Tumbi Umbi on the Central Coast, was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in July.
He claimed he was acting in self defence and that the boy had told a psychiatric nurse that he wanted to kill a guard.
He appealed his conviction but it was upheld last month.
A magistrate said his response was 'not reasonable' and ordered him to serve a two-year community corrections order and pay a $500 fine.
