Narendra Modi pays emotional tribute to 'dost' Arun Jaitley

Prime Minister Narendra Modi heaped praises on his 'dost' (friend) and former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) remembered him during an event at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, here on Tuesday. Calling Jaitley an encyclopaedia, Modi -- choking with emotion -- said, "One shouldn't face a situation when one has to offer condolences for his friend who was younger than him. I consider myself unfortunate." The former Union Minister Arun Jaitley passed away in New Delhi on August 24 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). He was 66.
