A man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting his granddaughter after she made a shocking revelation to her father.
The grandfather, 66, appeared at Manly Local Court on Tuesday after assaulting his six-year-old granddaughter while he babysat her at his home in Frenchs Forest, Sydney, in June.
The young girl had been dropped off to her grandad's home by her father where the pair watched television in bed together, according to agreed facts seen by Manly Daily.
The man then began tickling the child and touching her underneath her pants 'three or four times'.

When her father collected her that afternoon he asked his daughter how her day with 'Pa' was.
The six-year-old said she 'liked the way Pa tickles me' before her father questioned where she had been touched.
'Sometimes he tickles me down there,' the girl said.
The child's father and uncle then drove to the grandparent's home where they questioned what had happened, the agreed facts state.

'Dad, I will get straight to it … (the girl) told me that you had tickled her under her pants,' her father said.
'Yeah (the girl) is telling the truth,' the 66-year-old replied.
The elderly man was then driven to Frenchs Forest Police station by his two sons.
He pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count of intentionally touching a child under the age of ten.
His bail was continued and will appear in court again for sentencing on November 22.
