The decomposed body of a woman was found in a drain near Madhu Vihar area of Dwarka on Tuesday, a police official said.

A passerby informed the police about the body at 12.15 pm, he said.

After police reached the spot, the body was fished out from the drain, the official said.

According to police, the woman appears to be between the age of 25 and 30 years.

No visible injury or strangulation mark was found on the body, the official said.

The body found to be in decomposed state has been preserved at the mortuary of Deen Dayal Upadhaya hospital and efforts are being made to ascertain the identity of the woman, he added.
