Emergency Services release update into incident near swimming pool
A child is in hospital after being struck by a car outside a swimming centre. Police and paramedics were called to the crash on Mostyn Broadway in Llandudno at about 4.10pm today. One witness reported that police closed the road with officers ordering people to stay back from the scene of the accident outside Llandudno Swimming Centre.
Child taken to hospital
The ambulance service tell us that one person was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. Their condition is not known.
Traffic easing
Traffic sensors in the area show that there is some slow traffic in the area but the situation seems to have eased slightly over the last hour or so.

Police officers are directing traffic away from the scene.
Reports road closed
One witness tells us the accident happened near the Swimming Centre. He said the road has been closed off and police are moving people back from the area.
Child hit by car
Police tell me that they were called to the scene a 4.10pm. The incident involves a pedestrian and a car. We understand that the pedestrian is a child.
