Two Class IX boys died after a mini-lorry hit their bicycles near Chithode here on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Darshan of Telephone Nagar and Siva of Sanarpalayam, students of the Government Higher School at Rayapalayam. Irate public handed over the lorry driver to Chithode police.
Students and public staged a road roko at Chithode Main Road demanding a speed breaker at the accident spot. Police officials held talks with the protesters and promised to place barricades. Later, the protest was withdrawn and the bodies were shifted to Bhavani GH.
