An animal loving grandmother is accused of running an elaborate meth operation from her home.

Loretta Robinson, 68, was arrested on Friday at her house in Hurstville, Sydney's south, with police allegedly seizing cannabis, methylamphetamine and a gun.

Police surveillance units were set up around the grandmother's home where officers observed people visiting the house to buy drugs, police allege.

A taser, mobile phones and a set of scales were also allegedly found by police during her arrest.

The grandmother-of-three caught the eye of police during an investigation into the supply of drugs in the St George area in August, police said.

Robinson was charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, nine counts of possessing an illegal drug and possessing an unauthorised firearm.

She has also been charged with being an owner knowingly allowing use as drug premises and recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime.

She regularly posts pictures with her grandchildren and dog Rocky, as well as posting updates on lost animals.
