KALYAN: The Manpada police in
Dombivli arrested three persons for allegedly assaulting two police constables inside a
bar on Monday late night.
The constable are identified as
Parmeshwar Tidke (30) and
Ananda Choure ( 36). Both are posted at Manpada police station.
The arrested accused are - Prashant Patil (32), Jalinder Kumbhar (29) and Amol Adsule (32). Trio are residents of
Kalyan. On Monday, the trio had went to Rukminibai bar and restaurant situated at Kalyan-Shilphata road for a party.
Police said after party the trio asked for bill and blamed hotel for overcharging them. They started a dispute with the hotel manager Vasant.
Learning upon dispute, constable Tidke and Choure who were on night patrolling duty reached the bar to stop it. The accused instead of listening got angry and started manhandling the cops.
Following the incident, the cops registered a case at Manpada police station and arrested them. Trio on Tuesday were produced before Kalyan session court which remanded him in to police custody for two days.
D K Choure, senior police inspector of Manpada police station said, "Trio accused were under the influence of
alcohol resulting they manhandled our constable but we have arrested them".
