KARNAL: Swaraj India president
Yogendra Yadav on Monday attacked the state’s ruling BJP, saying that
Haryana has the highest unemployment rate in the country and accused chief minister
Manohar Lal Khattar of misleading people on the employment data.
Addressing a gathering in
Karnal on the conclusion of his party’s “Jan Sarokar Abhiyan”, he said they had invited CM
Khattar for an open debate on the issue of unemployment. “It is unfortunate that neither Khattar nor his representative came to participate in the debate,” he said.
Yadav said there are more than 16 lakh educated unemployed youth in Haryana. “In its 2014 assembly election manifesto, the BJP had promised lakhs of jobs to the unemployed. So far, not even 1% of the registered unemployed persons have been provided jobs,” he said.
The Swaraj India chief said the GDP of the country is going down. “Farmers are not getting remunerative prices for their crops, youth aren’t getting work and the law and order situation is poor. All categories of people are unhappy under the Khatter-led BJP government in Haryana,” he stressed.
