Following spells of incessant rains in Madhya Pradesh, schools have been asked to remain closed in the capital Bhopal, Sehore district.
All government and private schools in Bhopal and Sehore districts will remain closed today in view of the heavy rainfall.
As per the order issued by the District Collector Bhopal, "All government and private schools from classes 1 to 12 will remain closed on September 9 (today) in view of the heavy rains in the district."

While District Collector Sehore, Ajay Gupta said, "All government and private schools in Sehore district will remain closed tomorrow in view of the heavy rainfall."
Also, 21 gates of Bargi Dam in the state have been opened due to which villages in the low-lying areas can face flood situation.
The state administration has issued a red alert for regions near Narmada river and advised people not to venture near the water body.
Out of the 21 gates of Bargi Dam which have been opened, 11 gates have been opened up to 3 meters, 4 gates opened up to two and a half meters and 4 gates up to two meters and 2 gates up to half meters.
Whereas, the students of Dolaria Government Higher Secondary School of Hoshangabad district are forced to study under the tree these days because the school campus has been flooded with rainwater for the past one month due to which the school staff along with students have to go to school after walking through the water.
Families of the students are concerned about insects and snakes in the flooded campus and are hesitant to send their children to the school which has led to a drop in attendance.
The school management complained to senior officials several times, but no action was taken to deal with the problem. However, the students continue to remain committed to their studies even under such challenging circumstances.
