Ahmedabad has recorded 78.7% of season's rain

AHMEDABAD: Several city parts experienced light to moderate showers on Sunday evening as periphery recorded 5mm to 15mm rainfall. As on Sunday, Ahmedabad city has received 78.7% and district 84.7% of seasonal rainfall.
Areas such as Bodakdev, Gota, Sola, Sarkhej, Bopal, Shilaj, Vatva, Odhav and Maninagar witnessed light rainfall. For Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate showers. Dhandhuka in Ahmedabad district recorded 13mm rainfall till 8pm followed by Mandal (6mm) and Dholera (5mm).
IMD website mentioned that several weather systems - monsoon through from Rajasthan to Bay of Bengal, offshore trough from south Gujarat to north Kerala, shear zone near the state and cyclonic circulation over Saurashtra - are giving good rainfall across the state. Several parts of Saurashtra received heavy to very heavy rainfall on Sunday.

For next three days, IMD forecast mentions heavy to very heavy rainfall in Navsari, Valsad, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir-Somnath, Panchmahal, Dahod, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Rajkot, Porbandar and Dwarka along with Union Territories.
Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) officials mentioned that the state has received 108% of the seasonal rainfall till Sunday. Out of 33 districts, 20 have received 100% of seasonal rainfall whereas five others are inching closer to the cent per cent mark.
