A street has been locked down after a man's bloodied body was found wrapped inside a sleeping bag just metres from a childcare centre.
The body was found just after 8.30am on Monday outside Millwell Road Community Centre in the coastal town of Maroochydore, Queensland.
A witness told the Sunshine Coast Daily blood could be seen around the man's head.
Police said a crime scene had been established and investigations were underway to determine the cause of death.

Police are searching through nearby bushland and will be viewing CCTV footage of the surrounding area.
In an eerie coincidence, the man's body was found near a family day care centre - in almost the exact same spot another man was found dead last year.
That man's body was found in the Kmart carpark of the Sunshine Plaza shopping centre carpark, which backs onto the community centre.
A police spokesperson said investigations are underway to determine the cause of death
