Prankster stuns London commuters by washing his CLOTHES in the middle of a train carriage - before taking out a drying rack so he can hang them up

A prankster stunned his fellow commuters as he washed and dried his clothes while  on a train.  

Elvin Mensah, 29, stunned passengers as he used bottled water, a bucket, washing powder and a fold-up drying rack to undergo his daily chores on the busy London Overground line. 

He began by putting his clothing into the bucket and adding water from a large bottle he carried with him.

The prankster took out a large box of washing powder, pictured, and proceeded to create a soapy mixture in the middle of the Overground train - much to the shock of other passengers

He then added washing powder and began hand-washing his clothes as commuters look on in confusion.

Elvin then comically un-folded his airer and placed it towards the door of the train and left his clothing out to dry to the shock and surprise of his fellow commuters. 

However the London based comedian has confessed the the washing spectacle was all for show. 

The practical joker went on to explain that  he wanted to remain 'calm' during the prank to convince his fellow passengers that he was committed to washing his clothes. 

He said: 'I pranked the train passengers by washing my clothes and hanging them on a drying rack.I felt calm and focused on making the prank look real.

The clothes were left hanging up as the final part of the prank, pictured. One tickled viewer joked they could still see soap suds on the garment

Fans of the comedian loved the prank and were quick to take to Instagram with their comments, with one user insisting the prankster's videos 'make their day'. 

One wrote: 'Your videos really make my day (Sic)' 

Another confessed they'd love to be on the train during one of his practical jokes. 

They said: 'How you think of these things and then have the boldness to execute them. I need to be on the train and see of these live(sic)' 

 A third wrote: 'This is the so hilarious (sic).' 

One fan asked Elvin how he was able to keep a straight face during the prank
