Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS Looks The Part In Final Teaser

The final teaser image of the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS has been published before the concept comes to the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 10.

The launch of the Vision EQS will be important for the German car manufacturer as it will preview its first all-electric sedan tipped to be marketed as an electric alternative to the S-Class. It is expected to be underpinned by the Mercedes MEA platform and in concept form will feature two electric motors to pump out a combined 592 hp.

A series of teasers released of the concept last week showcased its exterior in full and offered a glimpse of the exterior through a sheet. This video previews the exterior design of the EQS revealing a bronze-colored front splitter and a faux front grille with blue illuminations surrounding the Three-Pointed Star badge. The sides of the concept also support gloss bronze skirts while at the rear is a large ‘Vision EQS’ badge.

Inside, the concept is jaw-dropping. Located directly in front of the driver is a futuristic square steering wheel while taking pride of place in the center console is a large, portrait-oriented touchscreen that stretches its way up to the dashboard. There are additional touchscreens on all four door panels.

It remains to be seen what kind of range the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS concept will have but we understand the road-going model will be able to travel more than 310 miles (500 km) on a single charge when it hits the market in 2021.

Stay tuned to Carscoops over the coming days for our comprehensive coverage of the Frankfurt Motor Show.
